Scripture clearly states that the words we speak will have a positive or negative impact on our lives. When our words don't line up with scripture we place ourselves out of agreement with God and His will for our lives.

However, when we start confessing God's Word over our lives, our words begin to work in unison with God to release the power of God to bring His will to pass in our lives.
